mcalvert173 From Angus McGillicuddy, to Champions Perogative, I have honestly enjoyed Scott and J.D.'s growth as musical deviants from early experimentations, to underrated geniuses. From the earliest of the earliest of days to now, you guys never stop amazing me. Just fucking WOW. Favorite track: Champion's Perogative.

Mardoch I was expecting outright brutality through and through, but this album is so much more mature and nuanced than that. I am thoroughly impressed by what Nociceptor has laid down on this disc. 2017 Top Ten contender in a big way here. Favorite track: The Old Ones.

This album really roots itself in modern prog metal, especially in the way the guitar work is treated. It's not fully a djent album but has some very djenty songs throughout, mixed with post-rock elements. It also happens to have some of the most gorgeous ambient moments I've ever heard in my life, evidenced by beautiful tracks like "Solstice". Another stellar knockout by Widek! Challenging Apathy
